Route 1

Started from San Jose to Cartago, then across the Cerro de la Muerte, which leads through a rainforest, foggy at first, and a variety of beautiful landscapes. The road winds slowly down to the city of San Isidro de El General and later diverted to Dominical, a town visited by many surfers. This is where you should take the main road called Costanera Sur, which joins Costa Rica to Panama. You pass some beautiful beaches and then finally to Uvita. Villas Bungalows Ballena is located on from the Banco Nacional of Uvita 600 meters south, turning right hand (West) and following 1.2 kilometers straight until you reach the end of the road on the right hand side.
